Badmus & Associates and the Immigrant Journey Awards are pleased to announce 2020 American Dream Scholarship winner, Rahmo Bare! Rahmo is one of our five winners. She graduated from Emmett J. Conrad High School. She plans to attend Texas Woman’s University in the fall to major in nursing. In high school, she was an ambassador of the Eagle Scholars and Vice President of Poetry Club and active in multiple community service projects. Rahmo and her family immigrated from Somalia. Enjoy her moving story about her American Dream.
The American Dream Scholarship program is highly competitive, receiving over 115 applications from exceptional north Texas high school seniors. Scholarship critiera include academic achievement, community service, and essay submission. All applicants were deserving and submitted thought-provoking essays about the immigrant experience. We congratulate every applicant and wish them success in their future endeavors.
