Badmus & Associates and the Immigrant Journey Awards are pleased to announce 2020 American Dream Scholarship winner, Rebeca Trevino! Rebeca is one of our five winners. She graduated from the School of Health Profession at Townview Magnet. In the fall, she will attend University of Texas at Austin to major in art history. In high school, she was on varsity teams for both soccer and cross country, involved in the Dallas Museum of Art’s Teen Advisory Council, and a competitor in Health Occupations Students of America’s regional and area events. Rebeca and her family immigrated from Mexico. Enjoy her moving story about her American Dream.
The American Dream Scholarship program is highly competitive, receiving over 115 applications from exceptional north Texas high school seniors. Scholarship critiera include academic achievement, community service, and essay submission. All applicants were deserving and submitted thought-provoking essays about the immigrant experience. We congratulate every applicant and wish them success in their future endeavors.
