Meet Dr. Feshaha Gebrehiwot – 2020 Immigrant Professional Excellence Award Winner

Dr. Fesaha Gebrehiwot was born and raised in Eritrea  on the Eastern coast of Africa. He lived in a small village with his parents who were farmers and his eight siblings. The kids would walk six miles each day to go to school.

In 1997, he won the lottery that would bring him to the US. He won a Green Card from the US State Department’s Lottery under the Diversity Immigrant Visa program. He knew the best place to get an education was in the U.S.

Fesaha saw his first dentist when he was 25-years-old and he knew what he wanted for a career. He went to college at Arizona State University and dental school at the University of Washington in Seattle.  

Known by his patients as “Dr. G,” he started a successful dental practice in Wylie in 2018.
Dr. G has proven dreams come true.
